Yet another Friday the 13th franchise fan favorite has joined the cast of 13 Fanboy, as the one and only Lar Park Lincoln has officially signed on. The scream queen confirmed the news herself in a live chat in Deborah Voorhees’ Shear Horror Group on Facebook. Directed by A New Beginning star Deborah Voorhees, the film will be a meta-slasher about an obsessive fanboy murdering cast members from the Friday the 13th series. Like most of the other stars set to appear in the film, Lincoln will be playing a fictionalized version of herself and a potential target of the mysterious killer.
Horror fans know Lincoln best for her role as Tina Shepard in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. Nicknamed the “Jason vs. Carrie” installment of the franchise, Lincoln’s character possesses telekinetic abilities which she uses to defeat Jason (for the time being) to become the film’s final girl. 13 Fanboy will also serve as a bit of a New Blood reunion of sorts as well, as two other stars from the movie have previously been confirmed to appear. This includes Kane Hodder, who played Jason for the first time in The New Blood, and Jennifer Banko, who plays the child version of Tina Shepard.
Following the release of The New Blood, director John Carl Buechler and Lincoln were both interested on continuing Tina’s story in another sequel. In fact, Lincoln had even co-written a screenplay with her husband focusing on Tina’s return. However, Paramount made the decision to send Jason to New York instead, and the fan favorite final girl was never seen in a Friday the 13th movie again. Because we never got a genuine New Blood sequel, it’s exciting to see Lincoln as a part of this project with so many other franchise stars.
Lincoln is the final horror hire for the film. Some of the other featured talent from the Friday the 13th franchise confirmed to appear in 13 Fanboy are Adrienne King (Friday the 13th), C. J. Graham and Thom Mathews (Jason Lives), Tracie Savage (Part 3), Judie Aronson and Corey Feldman (The Final Chapter), Ron Sloan, Deborah Voorhees, and Carol Locatell (A New Beginning), and Vincente DiSanti and Andrew Leighty (Never Hike Alone).
