Deborah Voorhees‘ upcoming meta-slasher film 13 Fanboy has an amazing cast filled with several fan favorites from the horror genre, and today’s news only makes the project more exciting. Voorhees has revealed that Friday the 13th final girl Adrienne King has joined the cast. Known for surviving the original Friday the 13th and briefly appearing in Part II as Alice Hardy, King has long been revered by fans of the series, and is certainly a very welcome addition to the film.
13 Fanboy will tell the story of a psychotic horror fan taking his obsessive fandom to a dangerous new level. Writer/director Deborah Voorhees was inspired in part by the idea after receiving very unsettling phone calls from anonymous fans. Most of the cast involved in the movie will be playing fictionalized versions of themselves, with each of them a potential victim of the titular psychopath. Anyone involved with the Friday the 13th series – as well as other beloved horror stars – are all on the chopping block.
If you’re new to the 13 Fanboy party, let’s do a quick rundown of all the stars you can expect to see (so far). E.T. and Cujo star Dee Wallace will lead the cast. Jason Voorhees actors C. J. Graham (Jason Lives) and Kane Hodder (Parts 7-10) will both be appearing in the film. Other Friday the 13th fan favorites set for the cast include Thom Mathews (Jason Lives), Judie Aronson and Corey Feldman (The Final Chapter), Jennifer Banko (The New Blood), Tracie Savage (Part III), Carol Locatell, Deborah Voorhees, and Ron Sloan (A New Beginning). Former Misfits frontman Michale Graves will also appear as himself in the movie in addition to providing music for the film. Hayley Greenbauer also stars.
There’s still time to donate to 13 Fanboy if you want to get in on the project’s perks. You can find out more over at Indiegogo. You can also keep up with the project on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
