The last few remaining months of 2019 are here, and any gamer knows that Q4 usually has some highly-anticipated video game releases in store. The year has brought some fantastic games our way already, and here’s what to look forward to from now until December.
October 2019 Releases
Oct 22 – WWE 2K20
PS4, Xbox One, Windows
WWE 2K20 will feature fan-favorite wrestling superstars and a brand-new 2K Showcase focused on the story of the Four Horsewomen of WWE- Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch.
Oct 25 – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
PS4, Xbox One, Windows
As the sixteenth installment in the COD series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare promises a much more realistic, and even emotional, gaming experience. Players will feel the weight of their actions as they gauge civilian threats, including children. It will also be the first COD game to support cross-platform multiplayer.
Oct 25 – The Outer Worlds
PS4, Xbox One, Windows
Directed by the original Fallout creators and developed by the company behind Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds lets you explore the furthest reaches of space. Encounter factions and NPCs while taking on missions and making decisions that impact the gameplay. So, Fallout in space, basically. (Not that we’re complaining).
Oct 29 – Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King
PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One
These two Disney classics are back, with enhanced gameplay, new features, and additional game modes. Play as Aladdin as he rescues Princess Jasmine from the evil Jafar. Help Simba claim his rightful place as king against the murderous Scar. These two titles are sure to bring back memories for many ’90s kids.
November 2019 Releases
Nov 8 – Death Stranding
PS4
From the legendary Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding stars Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, with both voice and motion capture, and features other notable names including Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn. Players will work to connect isolated towns and bring those divided together. This will be the first game released from Kojima since his departure from Konami four years ago.
Nov 8 – Need for Speed Heat
PS4, Xbox One, Windows
Head to the beautiful Palm City where racers from all over try and prove themselves in the racing world. Compete in the Speedhunters Showdown competition and underground races while building and collecting the hottest and fastest cars on the road.
Nov 15 – Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
PS4, Xbox One, Windows
Play as Cal Kestis, a young Padawan and survivor of Order 66, and work to rebuild the Jedi Order while completing Cal’s training and evading the Empire. Master the game’s lightsaber combat system and meet new and familiar characters.
Nov 19 – Shenmue III
PS4, Windows
To say that Shenmue and Yu Suzuki fans are simply anticipating Shenmue III would be an understatement. After a decade in development hell, and an insanely successful crowdfunding campaign, the project is finally getting released. The story will continue Ryo Hazuki’s saga of trying to find his father’s killer.
