Wrestling-themed ice cream treats will soon be back on grocery store shelves in the frozen aisle, and we definitely couldn’t be any more excited. Officially licensed by WWE, the food company Good Humor has revealed they are bringing back the ever-popular WWE Ice Cream Bars – though this time as sandwiches. While there’s no longer a wooden stick and the treats are now square-shaped, they still otherwise look to be pretty much the same snack food.
Previously, Good Humor had first begun selling WWE (then WWF) Ice Cream Bars in the late ’80s, with the treats brandishing illustrated images of classic superstars like Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Andre the Giant, and Hulk Hogan. Later additions to the line would include Attitude Era fan favorites such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, and Chris Jericho. Unfortunately, the company stopped making WWE Ice Cream Bars in 2008, despite C.M. Punk’s televised pleas for the company to bring them back in 2011.
For Good Humor’s new WWE Ice Cream Sandwiches, several new superstars from today’s product will be featured on the various treats included in each box. This means major names like John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Roman Reigns will be brandished on ice cream treats. “Macho Man” Randy Savage is also shown on the box, suggesting some classic WWE superstars will be included as well. Of course, a big part of the fun is in not knowing which wrestler will be shown on your next treat.
Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when exactly Good Humor’s WWE Ice Cream Sandwiches will be available in grocery stores, but be sure to keep an eye open when you’re browsing the frozen food section. Certainly, for old-school wrestling fans, this news is particularly nostalgic and exciting. For now, you can find out more info at the official website for Good Humor.
