Michael Biehn Joins The Mandalorian Season 2

Just days after the news broke that Rosario Dawson is joining the cast of The Mandalorian, another big name has been cast. Michael Biehn (Cpl. Hicks in Aliens, Kyle Reese in Terminator, Johnny Ringo in Tombstone) has joined the Star Wars Disney+ series, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter. Going by his big roles (Terminator, Aliens) it just seems natural that Star Wars is the next stop in his illustrious career.

Biehn will appear in the second season as a currently unnamed bounty who has ties to Mando’s past (who doesn’t on this show?). io9 has confirmed that Biehn’s character’s dialogue will feature lines that pay homage to his prestigious film career. The report also states that Bill Burr’s Mayfield will be making another appearance in season 2.

With these two high profile additions to the show’s cast, the second season of The Mandalorian is shaping up to be a pretty exciting season. The new episodes are still expected to premiere on Disney+ in October later this year, but with the current state of COVID-19, nothing is set in stone anymore. It’s been confirmed that principal photography has been completed, so hopefully the show won’t be delayed too long (if need be).
