Trailer: ‘The Voices’ Summons Genre Favorite Lin Shaye

The Voices | Three Tales Productions

From Three Tales Productions, the new horror feature film The Voices is set for a VOD and DVD release on May 12. Directed by Wesley Alley and Bradley Fowler, the film brings in genre favorite Lin Shaye to appear alongside Amanda Markowitz (Love Meet Hope), Victoria Matlock (“Wicked”), and Brendan Sexton III (Session 9). The film previously premiered at The Hollywood Reel Independent Festival with a very positive reaction, as the film was the runner-up for the Audience Choice Award while Markowitz took the win for the event’s Best Actress Award.

Now, the film is nearing its upcoming home video and VOD release date, and the official trailer gives us a look at the movie’s cast. As it mostly takes place at a remote cabin far away from civilization (talk about cabin fever), the story delves into the relationship between two sisters and their troubling history, which involves the suicide of their mother. The trailer also gives us a few peeks at Shaye in the film, killing it as she always does. But it’s difficult to tell what’s real and what isn’t in the trailer, but that might be the whole point of the film.

Synopsis: Angry and upset after a sudden breakup with her fiancé, Grace Crawford seeks sanctuary at the remote home of her sister, Catherine. It becomes clear that Catherine is suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, much like their late mother, who had taken her own life. While coming to terms with this heavy realization, Grace also uncovers another terrible little secret that has her struggling to maintain her own sanity and ultimately scurrying to save herself and her family from further harm.

The Voices is set to release on DVD and all premium VOD platforms on May 12. You can check out the official trailer for the film below!
