Sony held another online event on Wednesday that, once again, was game focused. They released the price and release date for their two PlayStation 5 launch systems, but on top of that, we also got some good looks at some upcoming games and some first looks at brand new announcements. If you weren’t able to watch the event, here’s what you missed.

The first game featured in Wednesday’s showcase was the long-awaited Final Fantasy XVI, the first main-line FF title in quite a few years. The game will be a PS5 console exclusive, with a possible PC release as well, though details on that are shaky. No release date was confirmed.

Next up, we got a closer look at Spider-Man: Miles Morales, including combat gameplay. The game is set one year after the events of the first title and takes place during the holidays in Harlem (a location not featured in 2018’s game). Spider-Man: Miles Morales features a war between the villainous The Tinkerer and their ‘Underground’ militia and the Roxxon corporation.

The game will launch with the PS5 on November 12th and, surprisingly, will also be available on the PS4. It will cost $50 standalone, or $70 if paired with the PS5 enhanced version of Spider-Man (2018), and all of its DLC.

The rumors were indeed true, Hogwarts Legacy is a thing. The game will be a Harry Potter open-world adventure game set in the 1800s, set to release sometime next year. Hogwarts Legacy will be released on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game promises that players will “discover the feeling of living at Hogwarts as you make allies, battle Dark wizards, and ultimately decide the fate of the wizarding world.” The game will also have RPG elements.

Next, we got another look at Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, and it features RC cars! We got some gameplay and a Holiday 2020 release date, but that’s not all. PlayStation players will be getting an exclusive Multiplayer Beta and it starts THIS FRIDAY. You’ll be able to preload it starting on Thursday.

A new look at Resident Evil VIII, or VILLage, was also revealed. RE VIII will once again be a first-person game and follows Ethan Winters as he tries to survive in a world set a few years after the events of RE VII. Capcom has confirmed that RE VIII will have more combat and exploration than its predecessor. Chris Redfield is also confirmed to be making his return. The game has a 2021 release.

Next, we got a gameplay trailer for Deathloop, and it looks incredible. Details on the game are still relatively unknown, but the new trailer did reveal a couple of things. The main character’s name is Colt, an assassin stuck in a never-ending time loop, but the reason for this is unknown. We learn that Colt has 8 targets he needs to take out, but this trailer focuses mostly on only one, a scientist named Egor. He is convinced that if he kills these 8 targets, it will break his time loop. The trailer shows Colt altering Egor’s scheduled actions in a way that gets him into the same room with one of Colt’s other targets, allowing him to off them both at once. The trailer showcases all sorts of powers that Colt possesses that he can use to eliminate his targets. But, it doesn’t stop there.

As featured in previous trailers, Jules is another protagonist who is also stuck in a time loop, only her mission is a little bit different. She has but one target: Colt. Jules can randomly join your game controlled by other real-world players. When they join your game is random. Deathloop is set for a Q2 2021 release.

Devil May Cry 5 is getting a Special Edition release on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, available digitally alongside the PS5/XSX launch. The game will be $39.99. DMC 5 Special Edition will utilize the PS5 DualSense controller and its 3D audio features in new and innovative ways. The Special Edition will also add Vergil, Dante’s brother, as a playable character.

A new trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm was feature. While much is still unknown about the game’s release, the trailer did not disappoint.

Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5. This game was originally slated for a 2020 release, but the absence of a release date from this teaser trailer means plans have probably changed. Still, the mall environment is interesting, and the atmosphere is creepy as always.

Andrew Dayton, co-founder of Steel Wood Studios, had this to say about the new location: “At three stories tall, it’s the flashiest, raddest, rockingist, safest, pizzeria the universe has ever seen. Of course, Freddy and the band are excited to meet you! Utilizing the latest in animatronic technology, you can actually party with the stars themselves. So, on your next birthday, let Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizza Plex make you a SUPERSTAR!”

The end of the show featured a tease that fans have been wanting, maybe even more than the price and release date for the new PS5…news about the next God of War. In the slightest of teasers, we were introduced to the God of War sequel many were anticipating — Ragnarok is Coming. Launching in 2021.
