WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown is switching homes in 2024.
Deadline reports that Friday Night SmackDown will officially make the switch from Fox to USA Network in October 2024. That follows new owner TKO Group striking a five-year deal with NBCUniversal for the move. The deal also comes with four WWE specials per year that will be produced for NBC on primetime television.
What’s more, is that Monday Night Raw is also hitting the market for a new home. The show is currently airing on USA Network but is notably not a part of the deal that will bring SmackDown to the channel next year. It’s being reported that various potential buyers are lining up for the chance to acquire Raw, but for now, all that’s been officially stated about its future is that the show, along with WWE NXT, will be present on USA Network “through September of 2024.”

Addressing the deal in a statement, NBCUniversal Entertainment chair Frances Berwick said, “It’s a privilege and thrill to continue NBCU’s decades-long partnership with WWE, which has helped cement USA Network’s consistent position as the top-rated cable entertainment network in live viewership. With Friday nights on USA, primetime specials on NBC, and the WWE hub on Peacock, we’ll continue to use the power of our portfolio to super-serve this passionate fanbase.”
For now, Friday Night SmackDown can still be seen on Friday nights on Fox.
