13 Fanboy via Voorhees Films

The cast of Deborah Voorhees’ 13 Fanboy continues to grow, as punk rocker Michale Graves has been announced for the film. For those unfamiliar with 13 Fanboy, it can best be described as a meta horror movie about the dark side of fame. Most of the horror stars in the film’s cast are playing fictionalized versions of themselves, targeted by a masked murderer deathly obsessed with horror movies – and especially Friday the 13th. In a bizarre way to prove his or her extreme fandom to the movies the celebrities appear in, the killer bumps them off one by one, leaving every horror star as a potential victim. Even actors who’ve played Jason Voorhees himself are liable to wind up on the literal chopping block.

Graves has had a career in music spanning over two decades. He joined the legendary punk rock band Misfits when the group was reformed in 1995, serving as the new frontman. Since departing the band in 2000, Graves has performed with various groups in addition to embarking on a solo career. You can check out his music and find out more on his official website. Concerning 13 Fanboy, Graves will be providing music for the movie in addition to appearing in the film.

Graves joins what is already a very impressive cast for 13 Fanboy. Previously, Cujo and E.T. star Dee Wallace was announced as the lead, playing herself in the film. She joins Tommy Jarvis actor Corey Feldman, who has also been confirmed to appear in the film in an unnamed role. The rest of the cast includes a who’s who of Friday the 13th franchise fan favorites, including Kane Hodder, Jennifer Banko, Judie Aronson, C.J. Graham, Thom Mathews, Tracie Savage, Ron Sloan, and Carol Locatell. Rising actress Hayley Greenbauer also stars.

Finally, Graves isn’t the only musician to have officially signed on to be involved with the project. Ari Lehman, who plays the child version of Jason Voorhees in the very first Friday the 13th film, will have his band FIRST JASON‘s song “Victim” used for the flick. Needless to say, this film is definitely a passion project made specifically for diehard fans of Friday the 13th and the genre as a whole, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.
