For many films and TV shows, fans have speculated that there’s something much bigger going on with the story than what we see. What if it’s somehow worse than you could even imagine? Let’s ruin your childhood by going through ten of the creepiest TV and movie fan theories found on the internet…
3Kevin McCallister from Home Alone grows up to become Jigsaw
When the Home Alone movies came out in the early ’90s, they certainly seemed innocent enough. Macaulay Culkin starred as innovative genius Kevin McCallister, who foils the plans of the Wet (or Sticky) Bandits with the various booby traps he builds. Although the burglars went through excruciating pain, the bad guys never actually died in these movies. But what if Kevin’s trap designs only became deadlier as he got older, with the boy one day becoming the notorious Jigsaw killer from Saw?
It’s easy to see the comparison here. Like Jigsaw, Kevin brutalizes his targets through various crafty methods, torturing them to the point where getting arrested seems like a mercy. Maybe the reason why Jigsaw is so skilled with building his traps is because he’s been practicing ever since he was left home alone as a child. And, truth be told, Tobin Bell is passable as an older version of Macaulay Culkin.
The biggest issue with this theory is, of course, the timelines. You’d have to imagine that Saw came out many decades after Home Alone, rather than just 14 years. Still, there’s a rather entertaining argument for it online.
