The PlayStation Plus free games for March have been revealed and, as expected, the lineup only includes PlayStation 4 games. It was announced last year that Sony would no longer include PS3 and PS Vita titles in their monthly PlayStation Plus free games and, beginning in March, only PS4 games will be available.
So, how does the first month without PS3 and PS Vita titles stack up? While the offerings are slim, the games are still pretty worthy.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered released in 2016 and is a revamped version of Activision’s 2007 first-person shooter classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Play through the campaign and all of your favorite missions in high-definition with enhanced textures, rendering, and high-dynamic range lighting. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare established what first-person shooters are today and was remastered by developer Raven Software after a popular online petition from fans in 2015.
Synopsis: As both a U.S Marine and British S.A.S. soldier fighting through an unfolding story full of twists and turns, players use sophisticated technology, superior firepower and coordinated land and air strikes on a battlefield where speed, accuracy and communication are essential to victory. The epic title also delivers an added depth of multiplayer action providing online fans an all-new community of persistence, addictive and customizable gameplay.
The Witness
The Witness is creator Jonathan Blow’s second game, his first being the critically-acclaimed 2008 puzzle-platformer, Braid. The Witness is an open world, single-player game with over 500 puzzles to solve in multiple gorgeous locations.
Synopsis: You wake up, alone, on a strange island full of puzzles that will challenge and surprise you.You don’t remember who you are, and you don’t remember how you got here, but there’s one thing you can do: explore the island in hope of discovering clues, regaining your memory, and somehow finding your way home.
