Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming video game sequel Far Cry 6, and the clip reveals a first look at the game’s villain Anton — played by Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star Giancarlo Esposito. While rumors of the next Far Cry installment have been swirling, a recent leak seemed to have confirmed the project’s existence, prompting Ubisoft to release the new teaser via Twitter. You can take a look at the tweet below.

The clip is just over ten second long, providing just a small peek at Esposito as Anton in the upcoming video game. Still, it’s enough to generate a lot of excitement from Far Cry fans, pulling in over a million views online in just a few hours time (as of this writing). It has also been revealed that more information will be divulged about the game at Ubisoft’s UbiForward event, which will be taking place on Sunday, July 12. You can check it out by visiting Ubisoft.com/Forward.
As of now, Ubisoft is still staying quiet on story details about Far Cry 6, but we’ll see what new information comes out at the end of the weekend. It can be presumed that the sequel game will follow an original story with all-new characters, in line with what has been done with all of the previous numbered entries in the Far Cry series. The most recent installment to be released was 2019’s Far Cry New Dawn, which served as a spinoff game for 2018’s Far Cry 5. If Far Cry 6 is as successful as its predecessors, it may be getting additional content or a spinoff game as well.
There’s no official release date yet that’s been revealed for Far Cry 6, but one might come at the Ubiforward event. Find out more info at the official website.
