Batman offered assistance to authorities investigating an active crime scene in Canada, but the officers told the famous superhero they weren’t interested in his help. He may be far from Gotham City, but Batman was still there to lend a hand in Kelowna, British Columbia. In a video clip filmed by local citizen Melissa Parent, the Caped Crusader is shown emerging from his “Batmobile” – a Dodge Ram pickup truck. “He was followed by five more police cars, so we pulled over at a safe distance to see what was going on,” Parent explains. “Before we knew it, the cops had their guns drawn and Batman came out of nowhere, parked in front of us in his black Dodge truck covered in the Batman logo and sprung into action.”

The entire ordeal is going viral after Parent’s video clip was uploaded to the internet. Certainly, watching it is very amusing. Wearing his batsuit, Batman approaches officers at a nearby crime scene, asking if the superhero’s services will be needed. As the video shows, the police don’t seem to be too impressed by Batman’s presence. They tell the Dark Knight they don’t need his help, leading to the man walking back to his vehicle looking dejected. Reportedly, the police were investigating a domestic incident, although details on what happened there aren’t clear.

As Batman is a fictional character, we can safely assume that the man behind the mask is not Bruce Wayne. The true identity of this Batman remains a mystery for now, having presumably gone straight back to his own bat cave following the incident. Because the footage of the encounter is going viral, it’s possible the man in the costume will reveal who he is. Doing so probably wouldn’t be wise, however, unless he wants Penguin and Mr. Freeze showing up at his doorstep.
